Sustainable transformation becomes even more difficult because aerospace and defense supply chains are global, multi-layered, and highly regulated. Ensuring eco-friendly production, ethical sourcing, and lower emissions across hundreds of suppliers is challenging. Geopolitical tensions, trade restrictions, and security requirements add another layer of complexity to sustainability compliance.

Every environmental improvement must pass rigorous safety, durability, and performance evaluations, often extending timelines for sustainability adoption.
